Personal Development

Personal development is also known as self-development or personal growth. It involves the growth and enhancement of all aspects of the person, the feelings the person has about himself or herself, and their effectiveness in living.

Depression

Depression is a mood characterized by varying degrees of sadness, disappointment, loneliness, hopelessness, self-doubt, and guilt. These feelings can be quite intense and may persist long periods of time. Daily activities may become significantly more difficult. If the depressed person also suffers from periods of mania, the disorder may be bipolar in nature.

Anxiety

  • general anxiety
  • obsessive-compulsive
  • post traumatic stress
  • panic attacks
  • phobia
  • trauma

If you have an unusual amount of anxiety, this normally helpful emotion can keep you from coping and can disrupt your daily life. Excess anxiety and anxiety disorders are often related to the biological makeup and to life experiences of the individual. People often misunderstand these problems/disorders and think they should be able to overcome the symptoms by sheer willpower. This is often not possible, but there are a wide variety of treatments that can help.
